As we were not finished in the restaurant , this was not a problem for the driver. Bonn is a city on the banks of the Rhine River in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was the capital of West Germany from 1949 to 1990 and the official seat of government of united Germany from 1990 to 1999. The city is home to the University of Bonn, one of Germany's most reputable institutions of higher learning. From 1597 to 1794, Bonn was the residence of the Archbishops and Prince-electors of Cologne, and is the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven (born 1770).
